Fall Allergies

As most of you know, I have allergies. My bad periods are usually spring and fall. I go every four weeks for allergy shots - pet dander, dust, mold and trees/grasses/weeds. On top of that I take Zyrtec, Nasonex and Singular daily. Today, I had a six-month check up with my allergist and wouldn't you know it, I woke up with a sinus headache and hoarseness. Fall allergies have officially begun for me. My doctor decided to start me on an antibiotic, Clarithromyc for 14 days, and Prednisone for 12 days. Normally when I get a sinus infection I usually am on the Zithromax Z-Pack but he wanted me on something stronger and longer than that. He said he wants to nip this in the bud before it gets worse. I really am surprised he gave me an antibiotic, he normally just gives me Prednisone. He also moved my shots to every other week. Hopefully with both the antibiotic and steroids, I will kick this before it gets bad.  I go back and see him in two weeks on the 25th.

On a funny note, when I was waiting in a room for him to see me he walked right past the room. He then turned around and came in. He said he didn't recognize me with my my new hair. I haven't seen him since March. He said he liked it though.

Jeff's Birthday Celebration

Yesterday, we celebrated Jeff's birthday, he picked Red Lobster. Dave decided to stay home with the twins and Jacob stayed home with Brayden so it was just the girls and us.

Kylie and Haylee ended up spending the night. Jeff is off this weekend so it was time for one of them or both to spend the night. Haylee woke Kylie up at 5:00 this morning, that's what Kylie said, so not sure if they are going to spend the night on the same night anymore. Haylee is an early riser at our house for some reason. I heard them around 7:00 and got up and shut our bedroom door and they were at my bedside waking me up at 8:00. Kylie is real good on not getting us up till 8:00. They watched TV in the guest room and played in the kids room till then. We decided to go to church and hear the new pastor preach. We have been without a permanent pastor for a couple years now. The new pastor started last month. Kylie was a little nervous going into kids church but she had fun making bracelets, which she made one for Haylee too, before kids church started. Then Haylee had fun in the 4 year old class playing peek-a-boo. They both brought papers home to give to mom and dad but unfortunately Kylie spilt her frosty in the car over her papers so we ended up throwing them away. I met Kimberly and Nicole around 4:00 . We had a nice weekend with the girls.

Happy Birthday, Jeff!

Today is Jeff's birthday. He is celebrating the big "5-6". Us girls decided to do our weekly lunch today since it was his birthday and you know what that means, Red Robin here we come. Actually we let Jeff pick and he picked there which surprised me because I thought he might pick Jason's Deli.

Grandpa's sidekick or at least one of them

We will celebrate his birthday this weekend with the whole family when we go to Red Lobster. Haylee is so excited he picked there because she loves stealing his crab.

Happy Birthday, Jeff! Love you!

Girls Day Out, Bowling

Kimberly wanted something to do with Kylie while Jacob was out fishing with Brayden. Kylie has basically seen all the movies that are out so she decided bowling. So she asked if Nicole, Haylee and I would like to join them. The bowling alley didn't open till noon since it's Labor Day so we decided to go to Chick-fil-a for lunch before we bowled. We paid for two hours of bowling so during our third game we ran out of time. We were at the bottom of the 9th frame and it stopped so that's why you see the 10th frame still open. After bowling we decided to finish our outing with ice cream so we headed to Skinny Dip. We had a blast today! I can't wait till the next girls day out!

Saying Good-bye and Busch Gardens

This morning we said good-bye to Mom and Dad. It has been nice having them here these past couple of weeks. They have been a real big help to Nicole and Dave. During the week they stayed in town to be closer to them and on the weekends they came out to our place to visit with us. We will definitely miss them. Thank you so much for coming, Mom and Dad, and all your help, we really appreciate it!

Nicole wanted to go to Busch Gardens this weekend since it was the last weekend before school starts. Kylie and Haylee's preschool passes expire this weekend so we decided to go. I didn't want to go on Saturday, Sunday or Monday because I knew it would be packed being Labor Day weekend and the last weekend before school starts so I decided to take off work today and go. Kimberly has been under the weather with an abscessed tooth so she decided not to go. We decided to bring Kylie with us so we let Kylie and Haylee spend the night so Nicole only had to worry about getting the boys ready. We met her at our normal location and Nicole and the boys rode with us. Jeff ended up sitting in the very back between the girls so the boys had the middle cabin chairs and Nicole was up front with me. Now that our family is growing we really won't be able to go in one vehicle anymore. We got to Busch Gardens about an hour after they opened and stayed till around 6:00, they closed at 7:00. I'm surprised we lasted that long or should I say Nicole lasted that long. We did take a lot of breaks so she could rest and the babies could eat. On the way home we decided to stop at Cracker Barrel for dinner as the boys were getting fussy and needed to eat. It ended up being a long day but we had fun on our last visit to Busch Gardens for the year. Till next year, Busch Gardens!

Pictures From This Past Week

Here are some pictures of the twins, Haylee and me that I have taken in the past week or so. When I see the twins it's hard not to take at least a couple pictures of them since they are so darn cute.
